As far as openers go I don't think Social D or any band for that matter could do better than the Supersuckers.
That said, I would have loved to catch the tour with the Street Dogs.
Forget about openers, give me 3 straight hours of Social Distortion (with intermissions and encores of course). That way they could really dig into their discography and play all the really rare stuff that never gets played live.
Yes, I agree The Swingin' Utters would be a great opening act for Social Distortion. They were on tour with them back in 1997 on the WLWHWT Tour for a while. The Street Dogs and The Supersuckers are also great bands to play before the Legendary Social D. What about the Reverend Horton Heat? If it was them, The Supersuckers, and Social D. they could headline arenas across the country!!! Shit, Social D. almost does that already by themselves!!!!
Hey Nubus, see you at the Logo.
If we are talking fantasy lineups...why not a Social D and X tour? Or hell Mike Ness and the Knitters.

Yes, that would also be a great lineup with X. They should think about doing that!
I saw SD play with X along with the Dammed, TSOL, Bad Religion, Sex Pistols, and everyother great band you could think of at Inland Invasion in 02 or 03. Best show I have ever seen.
Yeah, I think my sister and I are going to X fest despite all the crappy bands. Have been cravin a San Diego trip and have friends there. So Nubus where do you see no alcohol? I went online and it is at the Coors stadium in Chula Vista. I didn't see anything about it being on the SDSU campus. And the website says you can't bring in alcohol, but Budweiser is one of the sponsors. Sorry just planning whether we need to get warmed up in the parking lot across the street!
